This casita is smack dab in the center of town, you'll never, ever need your car to explore the town of Marfa. The house is bright, cheery, mostly white with pops of bright color. I love my little house and know you will too. The queen bed sleeps two and the there is also a full-size futon.
MARFA, the name itself evokes intrigue, mystery, misconception, and debate. Regardless of what youâve read or heard about this tiny Far West Texas town of less than 2,000 citizens, there remains a special, often indefinable quality that inspires, expands and explores creativity.
But even to the first-time uninformed visitor, a brief drive or walk around town with its remarkable architectural heritage, gives one an immediate visual cue that this is no ordinary remote town. Yet itâs the people of a town that define the community more than the built environment.
Climb the stairs of the Presidio County Courthouse and discover a panorama that puts things in perspective. Pinpoint the exact moment where the town ends and the vastness of space begin. See mystery lights.
Whether you aim to remember history or forget it, live at large or only get away for the weekend, write your novel or just find a great place to read one - Welcome to Marfa.
You wonât find a gallery district. You will find sprawling beauty that defies any single definition or interpretation. They call it minimalism, but the implications are anything but minimal. Simple and ever expansive all at once, Marfaâs internationally renowned artworks are inextricably linked with the breathtaking West Texas landscape.

The house is on the west side of town, walking distance to the bookstore and Cochineal and Maiya's, or a two-minute drive or bike ride in. I am a writer who lives in Brooklyn most of the time, but there's a property manager in town.
One note: the third bedroom, which has a twin bed, connects to the second bedroom. So while the house can accommodate 5, it might be most comfortable for a family with a kid, or friends who don't mind a "railroad" bedroom. Or a fifth guest who doesn't mind the sofa or air mattress.
A great place to stay when visiting with friends or looking for a quiet place to work. Come enjoy all Marfa has to offer, and then rest and restore yourself here!
We're on the west side of town, close to everything.
